Friday July 2nd, from 7-10 p.m. in the 8th & Railroad Center’s Commons area directly behind the galleries, there will be a one-night only unveiling of a brand new collection of over 30 paintings and drawings by local artist and recent recipient of the 2010 Washington Pavilion Arts Night “People’s Choice” Award, Shaine Schroeder.
No stranger to the burgeoning underground art scene, Schroeder has been preparing for this semi-solo show for some time, side by side with sister and photographer/painter Shelbi, who will be displaying her collected works, both painting and photography as well.
Accompanied by the musical stylings of DJ FooLProoF, the event promises to be a unique experience.
There will be food and refreshments available to the public, and a series of new prints by both artists will be available for purchase.
Weather permitting, the garage door to the Commons will be open the duration of the show. Weather not permitting- watch for the signs out back. Parking is available in front, but is recommended for the rear as the First Friday Block Party will be happening in front on the same evening.
