Love unique art and like to help a good cause? Check out two local shows for local artist Shaine Schroeder. Here is a little blurp about the artist:

“Shaine Schroeder is a 26-year-old pop surrealism artist born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD. Shaine was the recipient of Lincoln High School’s Student of the Year in Visual Arts shortly before graduation in 2002, and in 2005 was voted people’s choice for best local artist in the Argus Leader. He has since received his degree in graphic design & visual communications while spending the last few years in Phoenix, AZ.
In Phoenix, Schroeder was very much a part of the burgeoning underground art scene in several of the downtown galleries’ monthly group shows, and did several pieces in the way of album cover art, fliers, t-shirts and the like for various independent musicians.
Schroeder is currently in Sioux Falls preparing for two upcoming shows that will be running simultaneously. The first show, “Eleven O’clock Muse,” will be on display at Michelle’s Coffee (324 S. Phillips Ave.) from January 25th – February 20th and will consist entirely of brand new, never before seen art. The second show, also opening January 25th entitled “Abandoned Gumption Cower,” will be on display at Blacksheep Coffee North (1309 Benson Rd.).
The buzz behind these shows alone has already proven a catalyst of things to come, as Schroeder will be part of a group show in Hollywood, CA for breast cancer awareness entitled “The Topless Project.” Proceeds from all artwork purchases will benefit breast cancer research and The Topless Project.”
